You see a rental car advertisement, a few dollars a day, but by the time when you get out on the lot, the fees, charges, the extra taxes, almost triple the original quoted price of the car.
Now, how’re you gonna beat that**?

Follow my advice:
First, rent a car for Saturday. You know why? Rental car companies traditionally overbook their fleets***.
You know what that means?
When you get there lot, there is overfull, you get a negotiated price.

And here is something called, a “drive-away-deal.”
Let’s face it, rental car companies don’t need cars in Florida in Summer, but they do need them in the Arizona for winter.
They’ll actually do anything for paying you to drive their cars to that destination.
Sometimes, they will even cover the cost of a tank of gas.
